"I really enjoy this tea. I bought 4 oz at a specialty shop which was quickly consumed. I was thrilled to find a 1# bag. This tea does not have the odd after-taste that I experience with most fruit teas. Don't steep too long or it will get bitter."

"I loved this tea at my visits to Hotel Adolphus high tea. Drinking it at home helps recreate the relaxing time at the upscale hotel tea time. I love the smell & pieces of real pear. I have displayed the loose leaves in a clear jar on my countertop which doubles as decoration. I also iced it in our hot Texas summer & it's delicious!!"

"This is my favorite MLT flavor. The pear and caramel add a hint of sweetness and roundness to the flavor, especially nice since I do not use sugar.
I do wish it were available in tea pouches. For me, loose tea means it is limited to an at-home drink unless I remember to take some in my JoMo."

"When it was available the first time around, I frequently bought this by the 2lb size for a friend, who LOVED it. She was very disappointed when it disappeared, and VERY excited when it came back. Unfortunately, it was NOT the Pear Caramel she remembered. She says the new one they sent smelled distinctly spicy (which the original didn't), and did NOT have any caramel pieces in it (her favorite part). She tried brewing it, and it was NOT like the original. Worse, when she tried to return it, because it was a gift, there were several hoops and misunderstandings (and some down-right discourtesy) from the people to who she spoke. They sent her a "replacement" bag, but alas, the problem was the same.
While I suspect that there was a batch/mislabelling problem, we are very disappointed with what was originally a great tea for those with a sweet tooth."

"I love the aroma of this tea, it literally will make your whole kitchen or room smell like sweet pears!
It can be a bit on the strong side, so I recommend using a level teaspoon rather than rounded, boiled water that has cooled for a couple of minutes, a quick 10 second rinse in hot water, and 2:30 brew time on the first cup.
If accidentally over-brewed, I find this tea to be unpalatable. Done just right, it's a sweet treat!"

"I absolutely LOVE this tea! It is superb! First had it at the Four Seasons and have enjoyed it ever since...until I tried to order it last year and it had been discontinued...I wrote to Mighty Leaf a couple of times begging them to bring it back. Just happened to check today on a whim (craving) and am so happy to get my fix! This tea is PERFECT with a bit of cream, not overpowering with any one flavor, it is scrumptious!"

"I was really disappointed in this tea. I've had pear caramel tea before and really enjoyed the rich flavor. This tea is not as rich. It smells like bubble gum and tastes very fruity, very little caramel flavor. I don't know if this batch is just off or? I've given away a lot of what I bought to friends and they haven't really cared for it either."
