No Guilt Chocolate Fix

Date:March 9, 2012
Pros: High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile
"At last! A chocolate fix without the calories, but still great indulgent flavors. Although I was skeptical of any "chocolate tea", the Mayan Chocolate gets my approval. Unlike traditional hot chocolate, this tea has a lighter chocolate flavor enhanced with spices that complement the star attraction. It's rich but not cloying to the taste. This is very good with a touch of milk and sugar, but holds its own sipped without anything. Good anytime, but a particular treat with a dessert tea."

Nice occasional alternative

Date:March 2, 2012
Pros: Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile
"Liquor: orange hues with considerable sedimentation. I don’t like how the chocolate pieces melt, because it makes the texture of the liquor thicker than it should be. Smell: fruity and chocolate-y. Taste: More fruit than anything, with nice spice notes. The chocolate definitely comes through. Not my standard tea, but in the right mood, this is a tasty way to mix it up."

"Has the chocolate smell that I expected; however, the flavor is not as strong as it should be. Still tasty. Recommend more than a scoop to get the flavor right."

Surprise Dinner Guest

Date:November 3, 2010
Pros: Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile
Cons: not an every day tea.
"I find it to be a great change from regular tea or coffee with a dinner, just enough sweetness with a not so sweet dessert.
It is good when you want a fattening snack--I recommend turning to this tea.

Smells incredible!

Date:June 17, 2010
Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile, Whole Leaf Tea, chocolatey!
"When you open the package and smell this, you know you want to try it! It's very chocolatey, with unusual accents which really enhance the chocolate flavor. I use slightly more loose tea than the scooper which is provided (1 heaping scoop), and brew it for a few min. longer to get the maximum flavor."

Best late night tea

Date:June 4, 2010
Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile, Whole Leaf Tea
"We've tried all the chocolate truffle teas and this one is by far the best for before bed drinking. It has no caffeine, yet it is full bodied and very satisfying. The next best thing to a cup of hot chocolate. It is slightly sweet on it's own so no need to add sweetener. Just a little cream and it is really delicious. The first brew is the most chocolatey. After that you get more of the fruit taste."

"you can taste the chocolate. Flavor is unique, I haven't tasted tea like this elsewhere, so I'll reorder it in future. Best of the 4-5 teas I ordered in my first online order with Mighty Leaf."

Not what I expected

Date:April 23, 2010
Pros: Great Aroma
Cons: Flat
"The taste and aroma are grand, but the texture of this tea just doesn't cut it. I've tried to make it thicker but it doesn't work for me. Overall, probably not worth the money unless you're really into chocolate and don't care about texture."

Very chocolaty AND decaffeinated. What a treat!

Date:February 16, 2010
Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile, Whole Leaf Tea, chocolate!
Cons: Price
"Yes, it's messy... it has cocoa (and safflower?) oils in it. But it really tastes like chocolate, and your dishwasher-safe tea accessories will clean up nicely in the dishwasher.
I normally find herbal teas boring, but this one has a real edge to it. I got a small tin in the Mighty Leaf Chocolate Truffle Tea Collection, which I also would recommend.
BTW, unlike this tea (MAYAN Chocolate Truffle), the MASALA Chocolate Truffle has almost no chocolate taste -- it's more like any other chai tea, so buyer beware!"

Not as spicy as expected

Date:January 7, 2010
"I love the option of having a light chocolate beverage (for those times when hot cocoa is just too rich), but I expected it to have more kick, as the moniker "Mayan" implies to us.
There /are/ bits of actual chocolate in there, so I'm sure to use the stainless steel filter.
I would recommend that a friend try it, if possible, before purchasing."

Impressive

Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile
"I'm a prolific tea drinker and have tried varieties from all over the world. This Mayan Chocolate tea, however, is among the most impressive. It has a robust, chocolaty flavor that is unsurpassed. It is almost hard to believe it is tea. Mighty Leaf may have just become my favorite brand."
