Pros: High Quality, cleans pores, exfoliating, reduces redness, refreshes skin, softening, cooling
Cons: a little messy, slightly drying
"This is the best facial masque I've come across, and at a great price for the amount!
The powder will get everywhere if you're not careful, especially while opening. And I had to dig for the measuring scoop in mine, which made more of a mess. Make sure you do all your opening and mixing over or near a sink.
Other than that, what a wonderful product! It reduces the redness of blemishes, so I'm sure it could be used a quick spot-treatment, too. My skin feels refreshed, cleansed, and very soft. While the masque dries, it has a cooling effect as well, so this is perfect for summer spa treatments at home!
It is slightly drying, like all clay masques, but a light moisturizer takes care of that if you apply it after washing the masque off.
As for mixing, I just used one scoop and slowly added water while mixing with my finger, and stopped when it was the consistency of yogurt. This was more than enough to cover my face evenly without wasting product. (I'm sure that if you mix too much, you can just use plastic wrap or a storage bag to keep the excess for later.)
For best results, make sure to clean your face of makeup and excess oils first!"

Deep-cleaning masque

Date:December 12, 2010
Pros: High Quality, exfoliating, cleans pores, good amount for the price
Cons: a little messy, slightly drying
"This mask works very well, and was very easy to make and use.
The formula they have is a bit off (from what I saw at least) and ended up being too runny. What I ended up doing was about 2 tbsp. filtered water to 2 tbsp. dry masque, and that ended up being the right consistency for me (a bit of a thicker paste.)
Since I changed the ratio of the masque, it ended up being really messy when taking it off, so remove it over the sink, or you'll have little flakes of masque everywhere! ;)
This worked great for cleaning out my pores and giving my face a good exfoliation. If you have sensitive skin like me, this can be a bit drying, so be sure to moisturize right afterwards. (I like Bert's Bees radiance collection)
This is definitely a good amount of clay masque for the money, since you're not being charged for the water! :)
Recommended, this really works well!"
