Perfect for tea on the go, this 20 oz. portable French press teapot is constructed of double walled restaurant level stainless steel. Featuring a patented plunger press and ultra-fine stainless steel mesh screen, the exterior of the teapot is high gloss, scratch-resistant, baked enamel finish and a wide base that provides additional stability, great for the bump-and-tip susceptible. "I have on more than one occasion used this teapot, for making quick cups of tea. Since I love loose leaf tea I love that it has a double strainer in the lid, and one that fits inside as a french press. I've had one for several years and have never had any problems with it.
I'm not sure how heavy handed other users are with it, but in the three years I've owned it I've never broken any of the parts of the french press. In fact going to buy a second for multiple cups of tea.
The greatest thing about this teapot? Is how long it retains heat. An hour later the water inside is still hot!"

Stainless Steel Exterior / Aluminum Interior?

"With visual inspection I am unable to identify the interior lining of this item. I have several stainless steel mugs with smooth / shiny interior linings that match the exterior of this mug, but this mug's interior lining appears to be a rough aluminum lining. The mug manufactor's website doesn't offer much more information. Also the press is made of plastic so you need to insert it carefully back into the mug otherwise one of the flexible tabs will break off. This mug will hold about a cup and a half of liquid. (A "cup" is one regular coffee cup). For the size it should hold more considering you cannot put this into your car's cup holder."

We appreciate your feedback. We've realized that using the term "backpacker" was not ideal for use in the description. However, the French Press Portable Teapot does work well whether camping, at the office or at home.
