"I never write reviews, but this tea moved me to. I have been brewing loose tea for many years and tried it all over the world, and Black Gold is the best I've found. I like a deep, strong tea I can drink with milk and sugar in the morning, and this one is perfect for that. I also like to steep my black tea for a long time to get a strong cup, and Black Gold--as other reviewers have noted--keeps getting better as it sits. It has a slightly smoky undernote (but not too much--for example, I dislike Mighty Leaf's Lapsang Souchong, which is way too smoky for me) that gives it the perfect depth. This is an expensive tea, but absolutely worth it. My only problem with it is that I have a hard time saving it for special days and will be ordering it a lot more than I planned on."

"Black Gold borders on perfection if you love black tea. It is dark and rich with absolutely no bitterness and a robust wonderful nutty aftertaste you will savor. It is an exquisite tea. If you are a black tea fan this is a must for your stash and if you have been thinking of trying a black tea, this is the one! To those wishing to expand their black tea horizons, I would also highly recommend Yunnan. It is purely awesome as well, with absolutely no bitterness either, a tea to relish. "This tea has intricate flavors that linger in your mouth, like good wine. I would describe this tea as fruity in the way that wine is fruity. It is consistently smooth and mellow and is a good tea for sipping. I have a standard tea for mornings (ML Vanilla), but drink this on the mornings that I want to treat myself."

"I love this tea! It is smooth and fills the mouth with flavor. I like strong tea so I brew this tea for at least 8 minutes and it never tastes bitter. I use milk and the flavor never changes.
Sometimes I mix it with other teas such as Keemun and the resulting flavor is great. I always re-brew the leqaves and use it for iced tea. I think this is the best tea I've ever tasted."
