Mighty Leaf Tea Ratings and Reviews

Customer Reviews for Chrysanthemum Pu-erh

Chrysanthemum Pu-erh

A black tea blend from China's Yunnan province, our Mighty Leaf Chrysanthemum Pu-erh tea combines handcrafted, small, golden leaf buds to make this a rare and full-bodied tea. It is one of the most difficult of the Pu-erh teas to produce. In the cup, the tea is a deep amber color with a rich, smooth and savory flavor, with hints of cocoa, which is smoothly rounded out with the buttery notes of chrysanthemum. Loose tea in 4 oz. bag

The Best Pu-erh and Pretty too!

Date:October 4, 2008
Pros: High Quality, Smooth Body, Whole Leaf Tea, Healthy, visually interesting
"I've really tried to like Pu-erh tea for the health benefits but haven't found any I could actually drink and enjoy. I tried Chrysanthemum Pu-erh when it was on sale and was delightfully surprised by how much I like it! It is smooth and delicious, good for you and fun to brew.
There are plenty of flowers so you always have the right mix of tea leaves and chrysanthemums. I always brew this in my glass tea pot.

So Grassy

Date:December 26, 2009
Pros: Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile, Whole Leaf Tea
Cons: Flat, Weak
"From the description, this was a tea I thought that I would enjoy. Unfortunately, I did not. I could not get away from the grassy notes which were not pleasant to me. I do enjoy full bodied teas and the idea of hints of cocoa were enticing in description only."

"I hadn't expected the flowers to be whole (the picture of the tea is accurate), but the tea brews very nicely and is delicious with a touch of honey."
