Customer Reviews for Rose Pu-erh Tuocha

Rose Pu-erh Tuocha

Rose Pu-erh Tea  Tuocha are produced in China's Yunnan Province; the name pu-erh comes from the province's southern region where the tea was originally traded. Its rich rose flavor comes through after the pu-erh tea has been infused with rose petals; it is then pressed into the classic toucha or "bowl" shape. The depression in the tea allows it to dry more quickly and be broken more easily later.

So Delicious

Date:January 24, 2013
Pros: Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality
"This is my first foray into the world of pu-erh teas (and Mighty Leaf, for that matter) and I couldn't be even more pleased. I didn't detect and rose to it, but that could be to the fault of me.
The smell is almost a caramel mixed with old barn hay, and they mix with the taste with absolute perfection."

Deep, full bodied, tasty

Date:March 6, 2012
Pros: Smooth Body, High Quality, Whole Leaf Tea
"Run under hot water before steeping for best results. Creates a thick, full, dark, and cloudy tea. Wonderfully strong but yet very smooth going down.
Earthy nodes. Makes me feel as if I am laying in a soft pile of hay in a dark peaceful barn!"

Pros: Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile
Cons: Price
"I was introduced to Pu-erh tea by a friend who tasted some in a tea ceremony in Hong Kong. Found it was an aquired taste. I brought my Mighty Leaf Pur-erh to her house for a taste comparison. We both liked the Rose Pu-erh better. You can't go wrong with roses. Never bitter and a lovely aroma make it a good choice for someone new to pu-reh. Only took me two sips to acquire a taste for it. We were able to make 2 smallish pots of tea from one toucha.
I think there needs to be special brewing instructions listed for Pu-reh tea. It isn't loose tea. By the way - How do you pronounce Pu-reh?

Good, earthy tea

Date:May 16, 2008
Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Smooth Body, Whole Leaf Tea
"I usually stay away from "floral" teas, but the blending of the delicateness of rose petals balances well with the malty brew of the puerh in both flavor and aroma. I first received this tea in a sampler pack and, after trying all of the teas, most enjoyed this blend of the puerh. The pressed bowls also made for easy transport, as I could just drop one or two in my pocket to bring to my office -- an unusual pleasure for loose leaf tea!"
