Spice and fruit unite in Rainforest Maté tea, a unique mate herbal tea composed of energizing maté tea, licorice, spices, rosehips and apple pieces that revitalizes when brewed. Maté tea is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and contains natural caffeine, which affects the body differently than regular caffeine, both calming the nerves and bringing about an energetic lift.

"I enjoy this flavorful tea, but recommend that you only buy it with this warning in mind: it is not for the faint of heart. You must enjoy bright flavors, especially licorice and cloves in order to enjoy this cup. Although the brew doesn't taste like licorice, the anise is definitely a strong contributor to the flavor.
I make this on rare occasions when I am the only one drinking my pot of tea. My family does not share my affection for this flavor, but they prefer the lighter White Orchard instead. This is a great taste alternative, though, for you if you like something a bit different."

"I love this tea combo. Not only is the smell pleasing, but the aftertaste was even more wonderful. Upon opening the bag, I was struck with a scent of light citrus, minty, spicy flavored. It wasn't overpowering; but subtle. The smell after brewing was just as sweet and left a nice refreshed aftertaste in my mouth between sips.
I've been drinking it every morning, and it just keeps getting better. Those who are new to Mate should definitely try this. It's one of my favorites."

Upon brewing the tea however, I found it to be delicious - a crisp, refreshing start to the day.
