Excellent for Heavy Tea Drinkers!

Date:October 27, 2011
Pros: Functional, Easy To Use, Stylish, for heavy drinkers
"Like the first reviewer stated, this teapot is not good for single-servings of brewed tea, due to the infuser's design (there are no perforations at the bottom of the infuser, so that the press may be able to keep the tea from brewing more than desired when it is engaged).
But for those who drink a LOT of tea at a time, this teapot is an excellent choice! It also helps the tea hold heat for a relatively long time. I made a pot earlier today, and it was still drink-ably hot even after doing about 45 minutes worth in housework.
I found it was easy to take apart for cleaning, also, and have had no problems with durability as of yet. I've bumped it by accident a few times in my sink, but it wasn't very hard and resulted in no damage. I'm not willing to perform more vigorous testing in that regard, however.
Overall, I'd say this is a wonderful teapot for those who plan to drink the whole pot for themselves, or who are sharing their tea with others at a given time. You could even stick it in the 'fridge after brewing for a nice little batch of iced tea!"

Worked great... until it broke.

Date:June 9, 2011
Pros: Functional, Stylish
Cons: Fragile, Hard To Clean
"I bought the Bodum Bean Tea Press a couple weeks back, thinking it would be a great product to accompany my growing fascination with tea. It's good for multiple cups of tea, has a fancy press, and it looks nice too. For the most part, I loved it. In my humble opinion, it only had one drawback in that it wasn't really good for just a cup of tea, as it was better suited for multiple cups. This is largely due to the short length of the metal infuser(i guess that's what it's called) in the middle of the teapot.
Well, my approval of this product changed this afternoon. When trying to remove the infuser for cleaning, I accidentally hit the glass walls of the teapot with the infuser (This has happened before. I think it's somewhat of a design flaw as it seems to be unavoidable). Well, needless to say, that "durable, heat resistant borosilicate glass" now has a 4 inch crack in it.
It's a shame. I just blew $40 bucks on this thing, and it appears there's no chance for a refund, either through Mighty Leaf or Bodum (their refund policy does not include glass breakage)"
