Love these cups!

"My husband and I love drinking tea from these cups. They do seem fragile and that is why I have always hand washed them. A small price to pay for terrific tea cups. They are pretty to look at, keep our tea warmer longer and we don't burn our hands even after pouring boiling hot water into them."

Fragile but nice

"I ordered these to enjoy the look and flavor of teas and espresso drinks. They hold heat and insulate from the fingers nicely. However, they seem very fragile. The second time I washed one on the top dishwasher rack, a light tap from a nearby (albeit heavier) glass as I was unloading shattered it. It's a nice looking product but seems very delicate, especially for the price. I still have another but tend not to use it now because of the extra care needed in my busy lifestyle."

Well worth the price

"Yes they're a bit pricey, but well worth it to me. I got a pair of PLASTIC double wall glasses at a retail store for almost the same price, so the cost really is relative. Sitting at the computer for hours, these allow my tea to stay hot/warm longer. They can also be used for many of the blooming teas. Indeed, they are fragile. The word 'tough' in the description is misleading. Hand washing is my solution, even though I hate washing dishes with a passion. These gems are worth it. Treat them as you would any fine crystal or bone china. The manual (!) does caution one to be careful about adding ice and not to use a metal spoon."

Expensive and Fragile

"I purchased the whole range of sizes of the glasses, plus a pitcher and teapot. After one and a half years, most are broken despite careful handling. The smaller sizes, 2oz and 9 oz have stood up better, but almost all of the larger sizes, the pitcher and the teapot are gone. Some broke in the dishwasher without any impact whatsoever, a couple broke from dropping an ice cube in, some from an accidental tap against a plate or another glass.
It's a beautiful product and works well at insulating, but they need to switch to a tougher glass formulation. I'm am never buying more, it's a waste of money."

Your cup won't runneth over!

"With these glasses, there is no need to refill tiny cups over and over nor do you run out of space to add milk. The double walls mean the tea stays warm for an hour and you can pick up the cup right after adding pouring boiling water.
When company comes, you won't be running around filling tea cups because your guests will have a double cup to begin with. They aren't cheap, but it beats drinking that cold cup of tea that you forgot about for 20 minutes."
