"Had this type of tea in Beijing while there for work. Had to ask for it because the hotel kept bring coffee.
What a nice way to wind down the day...
Suggest to steep in a strainer type of tumbler or tea pot without a basket. The full effect is savoring the amber liquid while watching the buds take full effect. My friends love it."

Weak and earthy

Date:October 26, 2011
Cons: Flat, Weak
"I love many types of tea, however this one just is not for me. VERY gentle in flavor and (to me at least) the flavor profile is earthy and slightly sweet. Not enough for me. The packaging though is amazing (it is inexpensive as well). You only have to use a few leaves per serving and it simply looks gorgeous. So if you like VERY gentle teas that look pretty, go for it! Just not my...cup of tea :)"

my favorite tea

Date:December 31, 2010
Pros: High Quality
"this tea is of superior quality and if you steep it for a the recommended time and then take the flowers out, it makes for a perfect cup of tea...not bitter at all. also, if you add some sugar to it, it makes it even more tasty - like when you order it at dim sum!"

"This is the best chrysanthemum tea I ever purchased. It smells fresh and delicious. The flowers are whole and unbroken, plus its white and not yellow, which is better. ML has great service and I love it!"

Slow to Sweeten

Date:July 15, 2010
Pros: Whole Leaf Tea, Unique Flavor Profile
"I had never had Chrysanthemum before (although as I drink I keep singing the Sondheim song to myself). The tea has a bit of a bitter taste at first, but over successive cups it gets sweeter and sweeter, like a green tea. Really an excellent one."

Very high quality Chrysanthemum, good packaging

Date:June 25, 2010
Pros: Smooth Body, High Quality
"One of the main reason I bought from MightyLeaf is that they seem to have good quality teas, clean and free of possible contaminants. When i got my order, i was assured that the quality is indeed as expected. The Chrysanthemum is dried and clean, delicate fragrance, not too strong and not too weak but strong enough to overwhelm my fragrant green Oolong tea, which is nice. 1 Chrysanthemum flower + green tea = added antioxidant and better taste!"

More than just a pretty flower

Date:April 21, 2010
Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Whole Leaf Tea, may assist eye health, one pot makes several infusions although weaker t
Cons: Bitter
"The tea is fine and the production is good, having dried the flowers and not the entire plant as some companies do. I drink the tea because an alternative practitioner recommended it as a way to help lower internal eye pressure and lessen glaucoma damage to the optic nerves. She said this has been done in Chinese medicine for thousands of years, which is impressive in itself. I have an appointment with my opthalmologist on April 27th and I want to see if there has been a significant lowering of the pressure since I saw him a month ago. The dried flowers are pretty and have a pleasant fragrance. I don't know about "buttery" except perhaps the color of the brewed tea. Actually, it has little color unless very concentrated. The flavor is not particularly nice either, for my taste, rather bitter, but I find that lemon juice improves it as well as adding vitamin C."

Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile, naturally sweet
"I was always curious about trying Chrysanthemum, and I am so glad that I did. It is sweet, in a non-sugary way, and very relaxing to drink. It's become a favorite in our house. It reminds me of drinking a sweet & smooth chamomile. Who needs dessert after a cup of this tea."

Flower power...not

Date:November 12, 2009
Pros: Smooth Body
Cons: Weak
"A smooth tea that has too much of a grassy flavor. It's difficult to figure out how much to brew since the entire "tea" is a collection of chrysanthemums. Pretty to look at but not lovely to taste."
