Smooth green tea from China, Jasmine Downy Pearl green tea is made from the finest silver tips of tender young buds, gently steamed after plucking, and hand-rolled into elegant pearls. During jasmine season, freshly picked blossoms are blended with the downy leaf green tea buds to produce an intoxicating aroma.

"The tea looks a bit funny at first blush. My daughter thought it looked like rabbit pellets. Once you add the hot water, the pearls unravel. The flavor and aroma are pleasant. However, if you overbrew, it will be a little bitter."

"I had jasmine pearls at a Vietnamese restaurant the first time. I looked for a place to buy the same thing, Mighty leaf meets that challenge. I love to watch the small pearls open. Great with just a little bit a raw sugar.

"While the flavor was good over all, it was delicate, and difficult to brew properly. The pearls, like most other pearled teas I have tried, required fairly hot water for steeping.Overall the tea was not extraordinary, but a good tea if you love jasmine."

Just the right Jasmine aroma and flavor

"This is a superb tea. The Jasime aroma and flavor are just right, absolutely unmistakable without being overpowering. I steep these pearls for 2 minutes for my taste. I tried steeping for 3 minutes and found the taste to be quite bitter, but this is generally true for a green tea. I would recommend brewing for just the shorter time, and, if you feel you want to try for more taste (I find it totally unnecessary) you might experiment by steeping slightly longer each time until you get exactly the flavor you are looking for. I will purchase this one again, for sure."
