Assam Cast Iron Teapot

The Bodum Assam Iron Teapot combines a traditional Japanese cast iron teapot or testubin, with Bodums patented tea press. The shape is reminiscent of traditional English teapots, whereas the cast iron and its texture create the feeling of participating in a Japanese tea ceremony. This large teapot's inside is lined with a smooth, durable, glass-like coating of enamel to prevent the iron from deteriorating. When properly treated, the cast iron teapot will last more than a lifetime. Holds 32 ounces.

Very Nice Teapot Indeed

"My husband and I had been looking for a good cast iron teapot for about a year . After looking at plenty of pots on our travels, we ran across this one on Might Leaf's website. We were ordering tea for my mother, grandmother, and great aunt for Christmas. We liked the fact that the pot was the size of a traditional English teapot (other cast iron teapots we've seen are much smaller) and was lined with an enamel coating. To our surprise really, the pot also has a built-in tea press that you push down once your tea reaches the desired strength which traps the loose tea leaves and stops the brewing process. It's well-made and well-designed for years (if not a lifetime) of enjoyable use brewing our favorite Mighty Leaf tea."

"Oh yes, Love this cast iron pot! It holds heat very well, its very attractive,and its three pieces are very easy to clean. So long as you follow the care instuctions you should be able to enjoy the use of this product for a very long time."

Large Pot, Great Price

"Pot is large compared to other cast-iron pots. It is also very resonably priced. If you're looking to get this as a gift, it is perfect - however Mighty Leaf doesn't sell the cast iron pot trivets, which would make the pot a complete gift. I had to purchase trivet separatly so it was a complete-package-gift."
