Favorite Tea

Pros: Smooth Body, High Quality, Whole Leaf Tea, depth & character
"This is the tea that I drink when I have the time to appreciate and savor my tea. I am fortunate enough to have a Cuisinart Tea 100 so I brew this tea at 160 degrees for 2.5 minutes. Shincha is a quality tea with a lot of depth and character. It tastes like it is minimally processed revealing the natural flavor of the leaves."

One of my favorites

Pros: High Quality, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile
"For a green tea, Shincha is quite full bodied, almost malty. For those who have not yet acquired a palate for green tea, this is an excellent bridge between lighter greens and Gyokuro, which can taste "grassy" to those who aren't used to it. Like Gyokuro, don't brew too hot. I take barely boiling water and add a few ice cubes before adding tea leaves."

Expensive But Worth It

Date:July 10, 2008
Pros: High Quality
"I had some Sincha recently on my last day in Japan on my 18th
trip there, and liked it more than any other tea I have ever had.
I was very happy to discover when I returned home that I could
still obtain it, and of the same quality. It is a light tea with a subtle
flavor, and I can drink a lot of it without the feeling of having had
too much caffein.
