Cat Yixing Tea Mug
The Cat Yixing Tea Mug is made from a unique, dark brown clay found near Yixing, China. It creates some of the most prized teaware on the planet. The stoneware made of this clay is porous and unglazed allowing it to absorb tea flavors. Over multiple brews, a yixing vessel can contribute to the flavor complexity of the tea it holds. This 15-ounce mug features a cat handle.

"I am always on the lookout for a cool tea mug. Being a cat lover, I really liked the unique design of this mug. The size is perfect for a large cup of tea.
I had to get used to drinking out of a clay mug, but it doesn't bother me. I don't drink only one type of tea from the mug so the mug has acquired a unique taste/smell over multiple brews. Curious to find out if this unique taste/smell will ever turn distasteful."

"The cat mug looks hand-made. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold. The mug has very fine detail. It is a great size (15 oz) for a mug of tea."

"This mug fits in my hand so nicely, it's a pleasure to drink my tea out of it. The cat handle works for either a lefty or a righty. And, the top of the cat's head makes it really easy to carry the mug around the room. My thumb fits right between the cat's ears."

"I was a little worried that with the shape of the handle, it would make it difficult or uncomfortable to hold but it actually is quite comfortable to hold. The size is perfect for when I don't quite want or have time for a full pot but want more than what my podstakannik holds. The coloring & design on the outside of my mug are different than what's shown. I have a lovely melange of gold & blue. I have my eye on the seahorse one for a future purchase."
