Organic Rooibos
Organic Rooibos tea , also known as Red Tea, is an herb hailing from South Africa laden with antioxidants. Naturally caffeine free and certified organic Rooibos contains very high levels of antioxidants, Vitamin C, iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc other minerals and fluoride.

"After first experiencing rooibos in South Africa, where its rarely mixed with other flavorings, I'm generally dissappointed that so many places in the US don't offer pure rooibos. Brewed hot and long this "tea" is one of the best anytime drinks available, not to mention great for your health. I just wish ML offerered pure rooibos in pouches for on the go uses."

"Choosing a new tea can be challenging and overwhelming with all the choices available. How do I narrow down the field a little?
A little summer reading openned up this idea. Some of Alexander MacCall-Smith's novels are based in Africa. His main character in the "Number One Ladies Detective Agancy" series drinks red bush tea regularly. II'd never tried a red bush tea but Mighty Leaf had an Organic Rooibos that fit the discription.
I ordered the tea, got a book from the series from the library and combined the two experiences.
As I sipped the Rooibos with it's sweet earthy aroma and full round fruited flavor, somewhere between ripe mangos and citrus, I was enjoying a moment with the women in Botswana. The tea is also caffeine free. So when it is time to rest the book on your chest and take a little summer nap this tea enhances, not inhibits the experience.
I recommend this tea highly with or without these novels.
I look forward to more new tea and literature experiences as a route of discovery. Thank you for such a great tea library to browse through. Maybe something green and pungent for an Amy Tan? Grown near home and earthy with Barbara Kingsolver? A little African Nectar for Joseph Conrad? Thanks to all there for your products."

"We tried Rooibos when we were in S. Africa and fell in love with its fullbodied taste. I have tried various varieties of Rooibos in the US, but this is the only one that really meets the quality of the fresh tea we had in Africa."
