Chinese black and green tea is blended with California sunflowers, cactus flowers, and rhubarb creating our signature California Fields black tea blend. A lovely fruity tea that is subtly complex. California Fields makes a delicious iced tea with its black and green tea base. Loose Tea in 4 oz. bag

Wonderful

Pros: Great Aroma, Smooth Body, Whole Leaf Tea
"This is just as described....full bodied flavor with light fruity undertones.."
"Initially, the flavors of sunflower, cactus flower and rhubarb seemed overpowered by the persistent nature of this chinese black tea. However, I soon found them all hiding halfway through the cup and lingering; creating an excellent aftertaste.
Admittedly, I tend to be heavy handed with my tea scoop and have sabotaged many cups by using much more tea than prescribed on the package. Follow instructions and you may have a better experience from start to finish ;) I put one rough scoop in a t-sac and infused in 9 ounces of 212 degree water for 6 minutes.
California Fields is often compared to other fruity chinese black tea blends from Mighty Leaf such as Brazilian Fruit. Though many people are fond of both blends, I prefer California Fields over Brazilian Fruit mainly because I do not like the stale flavor and odor of Marigold that drown out the passion fruit and mango flavors in Brazilian Fruit. For me, Marigolds conjure memories of my mother's ill fated summer gardening projects - Miracle Grow and sweaty potting soil from Home Depot.
In short, I enjoyed this tea and will buy it again. At the moment it is my favorite black herbal. I'll report back to you when I try it iced."
"This tea is so tasty that when my pot gets cold, I just drink the tea at room tempature. I don't sweeten my hot tea and this is going to be great in the summer over ice, just as it is."

"I have this tea every morning, it is simply amazing. This is especially true if you are looking to break away from the traditional type of black tea into something with a little more flavor. The aroma is to die for and the flavor is amazing, truly my favorite tea from Mighty Leaf."

my favorite!
Date: October 14, 2009
Pros: Great Aroma, High Quality, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile, Whole Leaf Tea
"This is the favorite hot tea in our household! My 25-year-old daughter agrees: the fruity flavor is just right--not too fruity, yet not too bland. I infuse this very lightly to avoid caffeine and bitterness with all flavors. I have never been disappointed with California Fields! I adore this and its "sister," Brazilian Fruit. Both are wonderful. Use the infuser basket sold by MLT, too. It is an awesome tool to brew by the pot or cup. Love it!"

"My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding annivesay at the Inn on Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC and my wife fell in love with California Fields at their afternoon tea service. Every time I make a cup for her at home, we relive that wonderful time. California Fields is so distinctive in color and texture, it is incredibly aromatic and brings back memories of a lifetime."
